about

"Every once in a while a record comes along that totally possesses our hearts and minds, and I have to say, 'The Way To Destroy And Create Things' by Belgium's AKSU is one of those records. A genuninely important recording. Recorded at the Lacambre Museum of architecture in Brussels, this piece is a serious tour de force which draws from numerous sources yet creates something new from its alchemy. Hints of the stunning Don Caballero related improv unit STORM & STRESS, if you remember their pioneering work. Add some Einsturzende Neubauten, Universe Zero, John Zorn, Rune Grammafon artists and an assault of bleak, thundering guitar crush and that'll only give you a tiny glimpse of the greatness unveiled here. "
